Today a Corporate Air Cessna 441 Conquest became the first air charter flight to land at the newly reopened Miles Airport, Queensland. The Cessna 441 Conquest is a very popular choice for high speed, short, medium or long haul flights. With a pressurised cabin, this versatile aircraft is extremely comfortable.Ā Miles is a rural town at the junction of the Warrego and Leichardt Highways in the western Darling Downs, 300 km north-west of Brisbane. The upgraded Miles Aerodrome was reopened after gaining Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approval, paving the way for larger aircraft such asĀ Corporate Air’sĀ Saab 340B+WT. The upgraded aerodrome is owned and managed by Western Downs Regional Council and passed CASA inspections and certification audits without issue. The runway upgrade project, at a total cost of $20 million at completion, was managed by Origin on behalf of Australia Pacific LNG.
