Corporate Air has been certified as a GOLD Status Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) compliant air charter operator. Corporate Air has achieved a zero audit finding in three consecutive BARS audits since 2012. The Basic Aviation Risk Standard is a single aviation safety standard for the resource sector. Andrew Webb, Chief Operating Officer said “Our clients demand the highest safety and service standards and we are happy to work with them and the accreditation bodies to ensure such standards continue to be met. It is a great tribute to our staff, we are proud to have achieved Gold status”. Based on best practice aviation safety principles and tailored to the needs of the resource sector, the standard uses a risk-based model developed by the Flight Safety Foundation in collaboration with some of the major global resources companies. The BARS program supplements existing national and international regulations by introducing a standardised safety audit across the aviation sector conducted to a rigorous international standard.
